Research ServicesPublications today have finally figured out it is all about the content. Content needs to be focused on reader needs and desires, and the only way to know that is to ask, using good research methodology.
Because I hold a Ph.D. in communications, and because I have run or participated in numerous publications-oriented research projects, I am well positioned to help you find out what your audience -- or potential audience -- wants. I can select an accurate sample (a critical and often ignored part of the process), create the survey instrument or focus group script, run the survey or focus group, and then analyze the data and create a report with suggested changes in an easily understood writing style. I have run experiments, mail surveys (web surveys fit in here), and telephone surveys in conducting various readership studies and communications audits. I have also done content analyses. Don't make the mistake of assuming you know what your readers or non-readers want from your publication or web site. Use good research techniques and find out for sure. Let me know how I can help. |
